Lucknow, Ta. 15. January. Saturday 2022

BJP has announced the first list of candidates for the UP Assembly.

However, speculation that Yogi Adityanath will contest from Ayodhya is false. CM Yogi will contest from Gorakhpur seat, while Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya will contest from Sirathu seat of Prayagraj.

Earlier, there was talk that Yogi would contest from Mathura or Ayodhya. The BJP has announced the names of 57 candidates for the first phase and 48 candidates for the second phase in today's list.

The BJP has also given tickets to Kalyan Singh's grandson Sandeep Singh and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh's son Pankaj Singh.
