21,000 new cases of corona in Delhi, 23 deaths, closure of private offices


Corona's active cases cross eight lakh across the country

21 thousand new cases in Bengal and 19 more deaths, 11 thousand new cases in Mumbai, a decrease of two thousand

Modi is likely to hold a meeting with the chief ministers on Thursday, but there are no signs of a lockdown at present

New Delhi: Cases of corona virus are on the rise across the country. In the capital, Delhi, 21,259 new cases of corona were reported, the highest since May 1, 2021. A further 23 people have been killed.

Chief Minister Kejriwal said the government has imposed sanctions though a complete lockdown would not be implemented at present. After the government in Delhi, now even private offices have been ordered to close. Apart from Delhi, 21,098 new cases of corona were reported in West Bengal.

In Delhi, 23 more people were killed by corona, while in Bengal, 19 more people lost their lives due to corona. In Mumbai, 11,647 new cases have been registered. However, in 24 hours, Mumbai saw a decline of about 2000 cases.

Meanwhile, two more people lost their lives due to corona in Mumbai. As the cases escalate in Delhi, private offices have also been ordered to close and people have been advised to work from home. All private offices will be closed except those that have been exempted.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to hold a meeting with state chief ministers on Thursday in view of the Koro epidemic. The meeting will also take stock of the situation in the states where Corona cases are on the rise.

The meeting comes at a time when Corona's active cases are at their peak in the last 208 days in the country. Currently, the number of active cases in the country has crossed 8 lakh. Elections in the state of Uttar Pradesh have also come up against 11,000 new cases of corona. Five people have been killed.

In Telangana, active cases have crossed 19 thousand. While 1920 new cases have been reported. In Andhra Pradesh, 1831 new cases of corona have been reported. More than 7,000 new cases have been reported in Odisha. Record break 4482 new cases have been reported in Jharkhand. The third dose of corona vaccine has been given to more than one lakh people in Rajasthan.
