The United Kisan Morcho (SKM) will decide the names of the five leaders at a meeting on December 4

New Delhi: The Center has sought the names of five members of the United Kisan Morcha (SKM) to form a committee to discuss support prices (MSP) and other issues. This was stated by farmer leader Darshan Pale. He said the decision would be taken at a meeting of farmers' associations on December 4.

The move comes a day after a bill was passed in both houses of parliament to repeal three agricultural laws. It may be mentioned that the farmers have been agitating for repeal of these laws for the last one year.

Darshan Pale told reporters that the names of five SKM leaders have been sought to form a committee to discuss the issue of crop support prices. It has not yet been decided where the five names will be sent. The names of the five leaders will be decided at a meeting of farmers' organizations on December 4.

It may be mentioned that 40 agricultural organizations are involved in the United Kisan Morcha (SKM). It may be recalled that Prime Minister Modi had earlier announced the repeal of three agricultural laws and a day earlier a law was passed in both the Houses of Parliament to withdraw these three bills.
