Srinagar: The military forces in the Kashmir region of Kashmir today achieved another major victory. A terrorist and his captive were abducted by army personnel from Sopore in the valley. Meanwhile, two pilots were killed when a Pakistan Air Force helicopter crashed in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) today.

A Jammu and Kashmir Police spokesperson said on Monday that a militant was reported missing in Ningali area of ​​Sopore Nagar in North Kashmir district, prompting the Army to immediately cordon off the area and launch a search operation.

During the search operation, the troopers urged the militant and his accomplice to surrender, in response to which they tried to flee. However, due to the vigilance of the jawans arranged around them, they were taken fast.

The assailant was identified as Tawfiq Kabu, a resident of Arampora, Sopore, and his accomplice was identified as Ahmed Kalu, a resident of Takiabal.

Pakistan said the crash took place near the Siachen area, killing both pilots aboard the helicopter. The cause of the incident is not yet known. It is worth mentioning that the place where this helicopter crashed is considered to be the highest battlefield in the world.
