GENEVA: A new variant of the Corona Omicro, found in South Africa, is now spreading rapidly across the world. A total of 104 cases have been registered in the UK today following the filing of 75 new cases of the new Corona variant Omicron.

The total number of cases has risen to 29 in Scotland following 16 new cases of Omicron. A total of 134 cases of Omicron have been reported across the UK, including one from Welsh. In Israel, on the other hand, seven new cases of Omicron have been reported and another 27 are suspected patients.

In more than half of the cases in the UK, patients were found to have taken both doses of the corona vaccine, health officials said. The UK Health Security Agency said 22 cases had been reported as of 30 November in which patients had received both corona vaccines in 12 cases.

A few cases of Omicron have been reported due to community transmission which has made it clear that not all Omicron cases are necessarily related to travel. Meanwhile, seven cases of corona were reported in Israel, with patients not receiving a single corona vaccine in four cases.

The health ministry said another 27 cases were likely to be from Omicron. France, meanwhile, has imposed new travel restrictions with effect from Saturday. The French Interior Ministry has compiled a list of countries red, orange and green according to the spread of corona infection and imposed different restrictions on them.
