New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education is currently conducting Std. 12 Term-1 exam. Guaranteed to take action.

One of the questions asked by MCQ in CBSE Std. 12 sociology subject was which party was ruling in Gujarat at the time of Hindu-Muslim riots in 2002? The question also gave four options including Congress, BJP, Democratic or Republican. A major controversy has arisen over the fact that the Godhra riots in Gujarat in 2002 did not correspond to the course of which party ruled.

The matter also came to the notice of CBSE and CBSE admitted that there was an error and also assured to take action against the person responsible for setting the paper in this examination. According to the guidelines for CBSE paper setter, the question should be purely educational in nature and should not be based on any religion or caste or touch any society.
