Two encounters in Kashmir in 16 hours, three militants including commander shot dead

In Kashmir, 135 militants, mostly Pakistanis, were killed in 69 encounters this year

Srinagar: In the last 16 hours, security forces killed three militants in two separate encounters in Jammu and Kashmir. The army had success in the ongoing encounter in Kulgam. Two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists were killed here. Including the district commander. Earlier, a militant from Gajwantul Hind of Mujahideen was also killed in Srinagar.

So in 16 hours three terrorists were killed in these two big encounters. A total of 135 militants have been killed in 69 encounters since January this year. Most of the terrorists have been identified as Kashmiri.

IGP Vijay Kumar shot dead two terrorists in Kulgam and one in Srinagar. Among the terrorists killed was District Commander Shiraz Maulvi, who has been involved in terrorist activities in Kashmir since 2016. He killed innocent people as well as terrorized the unemployed youth of the valley.

On the other hand, a suspected terrorist was arrested from Ganderbal district of Kashmir. A case was registered against a terrorist named Arshad Ahmed Mir under UAPA.

Police said Mir also involved his brother Latif Mir in the terrorist activity. Latif Mir has also been arrested earlier. Meanwhile, two more terrorists were arrested by the NIA in a terror conspiracy case. A total of 27 people have been arrested so far in the case. Both the terrorists are residents of Sopore district.
