Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit India on December 6


The two leaders will meet for the first time since 2019

New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin is coming to India on December 6 to hold his 21st annual meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the meeting, the two leaders will review bilateral relations, as well as discuss regional, multifaceted and international issues of common interest to both countries, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Friday.

Talks between the Indian foreign and defense ministers and the Russian foreign minister and defense minister will also take place on the same day when the Russian president will visit India on December 6, the ministry said.

The talks between Modi and Putin could lead to further expansion of existing ties between the two countries in areas such as defense, trade, and energy, a senior foreign ministry official said. It is also learned that the two countries are likely to sign new agreements in the areas of defense, trade, science and technology and investment.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is coming to India on December 6 to attend the 21st annual meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi told a press conference here today. This is the first face-to-face meeting between Putin and Modi since the BRICS summit in November 2019.
