Purvanchal Expressway 7.5 km. Highway challenging China with long airstrip

Sultanpur, Dt
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid Rs. 21 km constructed in three years at a cost of Rs. Inaugurated Long Purvanchal Expressway. To inaugurate the six-lane expressway connecting Lucknow with Ghazipur, Prime Minister Modi landed on the Eastern Expressway van strip from an Air Force C-130 Hercules aircraft. This expressway could be a highway to challenge China. 6.5 km for emergency landing of fighter plane on it. A long air strip has been made.
Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of Purvanchal Express Van, an ambitious project in Uttar Pradesh, in July 2016. The Prime Minister said that three-four years ago there was only land here and today a state-of-the-art expressway is passing through here. This expressway is a reflection of modernizing facilities in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier governments in Uttar Pradesh had pushed the eastern region into mafiaism and poverty. Previous chief ministers had limited development to their homes. But today, in Uttar Pradesh, the East is given the same importance as the West in terms of development.
Through this expressway, the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh is connected not only with the capital Lucknow, but also with the capital Delhi. The expressway has been completed at a cost of five per cent less than the estimated cost. With this, Uttar Pradesh is the first state in the country to have two expressways with airstrip. One is on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway and the other is on the Purvanchal Expressway.
The importance of Purvanchal Expressway is increasing as China is building new airbases near LAC from eastern Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh. On this expressway in Kudebhar 4.5 km. A long airstrip has been built, where fighter jets can make emergency landings in difficult situations. Fighter jets including Sukhoi and Mirage performed an 'air show' with a touchdown landing on the airstrip on Tuesday.
The former fighter pilot said that in the wars of 18 and 191, Pakistan Air Force planes bombed Indian airbases and the air force lost many planes. Learning from this experience, the Air Force decided to use the designated airstrip on some expressways across the country. An airstrip has been constructed on the expressway near the airbase as part of the project. Both the airstrip built in Uttar Pradesh are also close to the airbase, where fighter planes can land and take off in case of emergency.
Kudebhar airstrip is close to Kanpur, Bareilly and Gorakhpur airbases. This airbase is a frontline base in the event of a war against China. The Chinese Air Force is building underground airbases for its fighter jets near LAC in Kashgar, Hotton, Damascus, Lhasa, Shigatse, Nagari-Gar Gunsa, Bangda and Nyinmagchi. Therefore, it has been decided to make the Express Way suitable for the landing-takeoff of fighter planes for the Indian Air Force. This airstrip will be able to handle the air traffic of the air force closely.
