Punish the perpetrators of Mumbai attacks: India's summons to Pak

New Delhi: On the anniversary of the Mumbai attacks, the Indian External Affairs Ministry has summoned a senior Pakistani high commission official to be present. The matter is being heard in Pakistan and pressure is mounting from India to expedite its disposal.

As part of this pressure, summons have been issued to Pakistan High Commission officials. Thirteen years have passed since the Mumbai attacks on November 26, although Pakistan has been reluctant to punish the perpetrators. To date, no criminal terrorist has been properly punished in Pakistan and no action has been taken expeditiously.

The attack killed 166 civilians from 15 countries, including India, and the attackers came from Pakistan. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has paid tributes to those killed in the attack. "I pay my heartfelt condolences to those who lost their lives in the Mumbai attacks and salute the courage of every security personnel who have resolutely confronted the terrorists," he tweeted.
