Modi-Gates talks on climate change: Intensive discussions with Israeli and Nepalese PMs

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has met Bill Gates, a renowned software developer and passionate humanitarian. They also held talks with the prime ministers of Israel and Nepal on Tuesday during the COP-26 summit in Glasgow, Scotland.

He also praised the work being done in India by his foundation (Nidhi) during his talks with Bill Gates and his wife Melinda Gates. She was also considering how to enhance their operations in India under 'Mission-Innovation'. This 'Mission Innovation' is an organization to expedite public and private initiatives to achieve clean energy and to find various ways to achieve it.

According to a press release, the two sides also discussed ways to explore opportunities for green hydrogen, aviation fuel, battery storage and vaccine research.

During the conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the Prime Minister of Nepal, Sher Bahadur Devua. This was Sher Bahadur's first meeting with him since he became the Prime Minister of Nepal. The two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. Special attention was also given to the steps to be taken with regard to the epidemic.

Modi also met Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett for the first time. During the visit, the two leaders also reviewed the bilateral partnership. At the same time, the progress being made in various fields was also discussed. During the talks, the two leaders agreed to intensify cooperation. In particular, the emphasis was on technology and innovation. During the talks, Modi reminded Bennett that next year would mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of full-fledged diplomatic relations between the two countries. During the talks, Modi also invited Bennett to visit India.
