Amid ongoing tensions with China over the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, Lieutenant General Anindya Sen Gupta has been appointed as the new commander of the Northern Command's Fire and Fury Corps stationed in the Union Territory of Ladakh. He will assume the post from the end of this month. He will replace Lieutenant General PGK Menon. His term of more than a year will soon come to an end. On several occasions, General Mann represented India in negotiations with China to resolve tensions in eastern Ladakh. Lef. People. Sengupta is currently stationed at the army headquarters. He is from the Punjab Regiment and has been at the helm of the anti-terrorism force in the Kashmir Valley before his appointment to the Army Headquarters.
