The ghost of the scam has resurfaced in the Raphael plane that India bought from France.

A new report in a French magazine claims that a commission has been set up for the Raphael deal. The Congress then attacked the BJP on Monday.

According to a BJP spokesperson, the case dates back to 2007 and 2012. SM Gupta is named as the broker in the deal. He was also a commission agent in the Augusta case.

"We saw the Commission of Agreement during the Congress tenure. The agreement talks about 40 per cent commission. Before the 2019 elections, the Congress and other parties created an atmosphere with Raphael. He thought that there would be political gain but the country is looking at , What is reality.

On the other hand, Congress spokesperson Pawan Kheda said, "You have bought the aircraft worth Rs 526 crore for Rs 1670 crore without tender by making a deal very soon. The apology has now been followed by the Raphael case.

He said that such a big deal was done without tender and PM Modi himself intervened and ignored the defense ministry. No action has been taken against this broker for 26 months.

The French magazine claims that Dassault, the maker of the Raphael aircraft, secretly paid 5 7.5 million to an intermediary to obtain an order from India, using bogus bills.
