If need be, bill on agricultural law can be brought again: Kalraj Mishra

Bhadohi, Ta. 21
Just two days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the repeal of controversial agricultural laws, statements by BJP leaders have raised concerns among agitating farmers. Unnao BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj and now Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra have hit out at the government, saying the government could bring back a controversial bill on agriculture law.
Following a year-long agitation on the Delhi border against agricultural laws, Prime Minister Modi finally announced the repeal of the three controversial agricultural laws on Friday. However, Sakshi Maharaj, a BJP MP from Unnao, who is notorious for making controversial statements, said the Center could re-enact agricultural laws. He said the bill is made, spoiled and can come back again. After Sakshi Maharaj, now Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra also said that the central government could re-enact agricultural laws.
Kalraj Mishra termed Prime Minister Modi's announcement to repeal agricultural laws as a step in a positive direction. He said the time was not right so the bill could come up again. Arriving in Bhadohi, Kalraj Mishra said that these agricultural laws were made in the interest of the farmers, but the government could not explain to the farmers. The agitating peasants were adamant on withdrawing the law. So the government has repealed the law. If there is a need to make a law in this regard in future, then laws will be made.
