CHENNAI: In the Bay of Bengal, wind gusts were moving towards northern Tamil Nadu and southern Andhra Pradesh in southern India today, causing strong winds with gusts of up to 5-20 kmph over Chennai and heavy rains.

Chennai-based Deputy Director General of Meteorology S. Balachandra said heavy rains are still expected across North Tamil Nadu, including Chennai. In Chennai, it rained overnight on Wednesday night and continued this morning (Thursday).

The meteorological department's list shows that the pressure has been strong for the last six hours. This pressure is 120 km from Chennai. It was situated in east-southeast which is 150 km from Puducherry (Pondicherry). Was away.
