- India's request at a conference in Delhi to find a solution to the man-made scourge in Afghanistan

New Delhi: At a conference of national security advisers in countries touching Afghanistan, Ajit Doval of India urged the delegates of those countries: "Collective and concerted efforts are essential to find a way out of the man-made scourge created in Afghanistan."

This is the time when we must have more collaborative, intimate discussions. This was stated by Ajit Doval, India's National Security Adviser at the eight-nation conference on 'Delhi Regional Security Dialogue on Afghanistan' being held today.

"Everyone is keeping an eye on what's going on in that country. This is because those activities are not only going to affect the people of that country but also its neighbors, "he said. It will also provide adequate security for the area. "

Speaking at the conference, Russia's NSA Nikosai Petrushev said the conference should cover other issues on its agenda. Petrushev took note of this suggestion of Ajit Doval.

It may be mentioned that India has chaired this conference of NSA, the National Security Advisors of its neighboring countries, to discuss Afghanistan.

Speaking at the conference, Petruskov of Russia said that a framework for discussions with the Taliban had been worked out during the recent talks in Moscow. Ten countries, including India, took part in the talks in Moscow last month. A Taliban delegation was also present. The Indian delegation met with the Taliban and also pledged humanitarian aid to Afghanistan to supply 50,000 tonnes of wheat.

Iran's NSA Rear Admiral Avi Shamkhani said at the conference, "Everyone was invited to the conference. But they are not present. It's a pity. ' Rear Admiral Shamkhani thus indirectly referred to both China and Pakistan. They also called for an all-party government in Afghanistan.

At the conference, both Kazakh and Kyrgyz NSA Karim Masimov and Merat Imanukulov, referring to foreign terrorists infiltrating Afghanistan, expressed fears that they would also attack their countries. He also expressed concern over the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan and requested for collective assistance.
