EPFO added 15.41 lakh subscribers in Sept.


New Delhi: The Employees Provident Fund (EPFO) added 15.41 lakh subscribers in September 2021. This shows that the recruitment of employees has been steadily increasing since the second wave of Corona.

Provisional parole data released by the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) on Saturday shows that EPFO ​​added 15.41 lakh new subscribers in September 2021. As against the recruitment of 13.60 lakh employees at the end of September 2021, 15.41 lakh jobs were added in September 2021, an increase of 13 per cent or 1.81 lakh.

These figures show that the recruitment of employees has continued in the current financial year except May. The second wave of Corona was at its peak in May. Economic activities were halted in May after several states imposed lockdowns.

EPFO added 8,06,706 subscribers in April. In May, the figure dropped to 5,62,216. It was followed by 9,71,244 in June and 12,30,396 in July. Thus, the total enrollment during the April-September period of the current financial year has been 64.72 lakh. While in the financial year 2020-21 the net new recruitment was 77.08 lakh and in 2019-20 this figure was 78.58 lakh.
