Chardham Yatra 2021: Doors of Kedarnath Dham closed for winter on the auspicious occasion of Bhaibij

The doors of Kedarnath and Yamunotri Dham have been closed for winter on Saturday at the auspicious wedding of Bhaibij. The doors of Kedarnath Dham were closed at 8:00 am. Baba's Dolly Dham will depart for his winter capital Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath and reach Rampur for an overnight tour. On November 7, Baba's dolly will be seated at the winter throne. For 6 months, devotees will be able to see and worship their deities. The doors of Yamunotri Dham will also be closed at 12:45 pm on Bhaibij.

Baba's special puja-arch started at Kedarnath temple from 4:00 am. Aarti was performed by the chief priest Bagesh Ling after the ceremonial anointing of Baba Kedar. At the same time, the linga was covered with ashes by burying the spontaneous Jyotirlinga. After that the Panchmukhi Bhog idol of Baba Kedar was adorned and seated in the Chal Vigraha Utsav Doli. According to tradition, the idol of Baba Kedar was kept in the temple premises for the devotees to see.

The doors of Kedarnath Dham were closed at 8:00 am in the presence of SDM Jitendra Verma of Ukhimath and upper functionary of Devasthanam Board. Simultaneously, the key of the temple cupboard was handed over to the SDM. After doing 3 rounds of Baba Kedar's Dolly Mandir, amidst the cheers of the devotees, she left for her winter throne Omkareshwar Mandir Ukhimath.
