Bengali actress Shravanti Chatterjee has resigned from the BJP




Bengali actress Shravanti Chatterjee has resigned from the BJP. The actress tweeted that she was leaving the party as it did not work seriously for the interests of West Bengal.
Popular Bengali actress Shravanti Chatterjee, who joined the BJP before the Assembly elections in West Bengal, has now resigned from the BJP. The Bengali actress tweeted: I am ending all ties with BJP. I am taking this decision as the party for which I had contested the last assembly elections did not work as the party had promised for the people of Bengal and seriously spoke in the interest of Bengal.
Earlier, while joining the party, in March 2020, the actress had said that Bengal had not developed as it should have during the Trinamool Congress rule. BJP should get a chance for all round development of Bengal.
Shravanti Chatterjee made her acting debut in the 19th Bengali film Mayar Bandhon. Since then, Shravanti has acted in superhit Bengali films. She is considered as one of the most popular actresses in Bengal.
