After petrol-diesel in the country, now the price of LPG is likely to come down

New Delhi, Dt
It is believed that the Modi government is preparing to give big relief to LPG consumers in the near future. The country is likely to reduce the price of cooking gas cylinders from December 1. Gas agency managers are said to have received indications from petroleum companies in this regard. Consumers are likely to benefit from the fall in international crude oil prices.
Sources said that the price of crude oil has come down sharply after the discovery of a new variant of Corona virus in South Africa. Brent crude fell ડો 10 a barrel on Friday, the biggest drop since April 2020. In the country, government retail oil companies usually review the price of cooking gas at the international price level on the 1st of every month. Therefore, following the current decline, a decision on LPG price reduction is likely to be taken at this meeting.
On the other hand, the Petroleum Ministry has signaled to the gas agency operators that the government has decided to provide a subsidy of Rs 500 on cooking gas. As a result, consumers are given an estimated Rs. An LPG cylinder priced at Rs 215 is likely to be available at Rs 315. The ministry has asked gas agency dealers to pay Rs. A message has been received to give a subsidy of Rs. However, he said that nothing can be said in this regard till a written order is issued. Subsidies on cooking gas have been discontinued across the country since May 2020. These signals from the Petroleum Ministry have raised hopes of resumption of subsidy on cooking gas from December 1.
Experts believe that consumers in the northeastern states of Jharkhand, tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh, Andaman and Chhattisgarh are currently being subsidized for cooking gas. In view of this, the central government is likely to resume subsidy on cooking gas across the country from December. Sources said that there is complete consensus in the government in this regard.
The government has reduced excise duty on petrol-diesel following a variety of factors, including the fall in international crude oil prices, and has now signaled a reduction in cooking gas prices. However, experts say that with the Assembly elections scheduled to be held in five states, including Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, early next year, the government is taking steps to reduce excise duty on petrol and diesel and reduce LPG prices and introduce subsidies.
