New Delhi: Messaging app WhatsApp and photo sharing platform Instagram as well as Facebook were temporarily shut down worldwide. As a result, the users of both these applications had to face difficulties.

WhatsApp all over the world in particular had stalled. As a result, there was no download for hours when even messages could not be sent. It was clarified by WhatsApp that whatever difficulties are coming up will be rectified soon.

Facebook owns three platforms, Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram. All three social media platforms were trending on Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp Twitter around the world and people shared posts about the problems.

People also shared their experiences on Twitter. People said that buffering is happening when Facebook and Instagram are opened. When we send a photo, video or message to someone on WhatsApp, it is not sent.

There are reports that all three social media platforms were shut down due to technical glitches. About 41 crore people in India use Facebook while there are more than 53 crore WhatsApp users. Similarly, more than 21 crore people use Instagram.

In the midst of this harassment, WhatsApp also tweeted that people are having trouble using WhatsApp. We are working on this problem and will address any issues that may arise. We will continue to provide information on how to solve problems here as soon as possible. Social media platforms have gone down in the past as well.
