Two jawans injured in clash with terrorists in Poonch, condition critical

Two Army personnel were injured in a clash with militants in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday and were rushed to a hospital where their condition was critical, sources said.
A junior commissioned officer and a jawan were injured in the operation against the terrorists on Thursday, sources said. Security forces have cordoned off parts of the Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch National Highway to cordon off the militants after the incident. The army has cordoned off the entire area and launched an operation to find the terrorists. The army has launched an anti-terrorism operation in the last few days as the number of terrorist incidents in the valley has increased. The army has killed nine militants in the last six days under the operation.
Five Army jawans, including a junior commissioned officer and four jawans, were killed while opening a front against militants in the Pir Panjal range of Rajouri sector on Monday. A Defense Department spokesman said the militants were ambushed and immediately opened fire on security forces, injuring five soldiers who were taken to hospital but could not be rescued. The security forces conducted a search operation after receiving information that terrorists were hiding in the area. The sounds of bullets came from the forest.
