Corona's new 20799 cases, 180 more deaths active cases 2.64 lakh, lowest in 200 days

For the first time in the country, vaccine doses were delivered to Manipur using drones, covering a distance of 15 km in 12 minutes.

New Delhi: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandvia has said that 91 crore doses of corona vaccine have been given in India so far. While 70 per cent of the country's adults have been given the first dose of the vaccine. While 25 per cent of the country's adults have been given both doses of the vaccine. While in the last 24 hours new 20799 cases of corona have come up.

For the 10th day in a row, Corona's cases have been below 30,000. More than 180 people have been killed in Corona. And the total death toll has risen to 4.48 lakh. The number of active cases in the country has come down to 2.64 lakh, the lowest in the last 200 days. The last 24 hours have seen a decrease of 6099 in active cases.

The vaccine is facing difficulties due to the hilly terrain in the northeast. However, drone strikes have now begun in such areas. The vaccine was first delivered to Manipur by ICMR using a drone. The Make in India drone was used for this.

The vaccine was delivered to the hospital, which is 15 km away, in 12 to 15 minutes. Vaccination has been made faster. An average of 79 lakh doses of vaccine were given daily in the month of September. The total dose is likely to cross 100 crore soon.

In Kerala, 8850 new cases of corona were reported on Monday. A further 149 people were killed. In one day 17007 people were cured from Corona in Kerala. While active cases have reached 1,28,736. A total of 74,000 corona tests were conducted in Kerala in 24 hours. Corona has the highest number of cases in 14 districts of Kerala with Thiruvananthapuram having the highest number of 1134 cases while Thrissur also has 1077 cases.
