Reliance's profit for the September quarter rose 46 per cent to Rs 15,479 crore


Geo, Retail operations at pre-Coro level: Geo's revenue is Rs 23,222 crore

Ahmedabad: Reliance Industries, the country's largest company, today announced its July-September quarter results. The company's total revenue rose 49.2 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,91,532 crore, while profit rose 46 per cent to Rs 15,479 crore.

The company's operating profit (excluding depreciation, interest expenses and other expenses) rose 30 per cent to Rs 30,283 crore in the quarter ended September last year. The company's profit and operating profit are at record levels.

Commenting on the company's results, Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani said the second quarter saw a strong improvement in the company's performance. "While the Indian economy is recovering, our business is seeing a resurgence of retail, digital services and oil-to-chemicals business cores," he said.

Demand and margins for the company's refining products are also increasing, ”said Mukesh Ambani. The company's oil-to-chemicals business grew by 58.1 per cent to Rs 1,20,475 crore in the first six months of the financial year 2021-22. In the retail sector, the company's revenue grew by 10.5 per cent to Rs 45,426 crore.

In these three months, digital services i.e. Geo's revenue has seen Rs 23,222 crore. During the three-month period, Reliance's total exports grew by 59 per cent to Rs 54,844 crore, with oil and refining accounting for the largest share.

The company's interest on repaying debt fell 37.2 per cent to Rs 3,819 crore. The company's total debt stood at Rs 2,55,891 crore at the end of September, against which the company has Rs 2,59,476 crore in cash on hand.
