PLA researcher claims US spied on China 5,000 times this year

Beijing, Ta. 3

A Chinese military and People's Liberation Army (PLA) researcher has claimed that American warships and planes spied on China 5,000 times this year due to growing hostility between the United States and China. At the annual conference of China's military, PLA researcher Cao Yanzhong said that such repeated US espionage activities are extremely dangerous to China's sovereign security and have definitely increased the risk of firing.

The US spy mission targets Chinese-controlled islands and rocky areas in the disputed South China Sea, as well as coastal areas, said Cao Yanzong, a researcher with the People's Liberation Army (PLA) at the Academy of Military Sciences. "Such repeated spying by the United States and the tensions at the regional level will definitely increase the risk of firing by China," Cao said at the 10th Shingshan Forum of China's annual military conference.

Relations between the US and China are at their worst at the moment. The two countries are facing intense conflicts on various issues, including trade. The two countries are at loggerheads over issues such as Chinese military aggression in the disputed South China Sea and human rights abuses in Hong Kong, Tibet and Xinjiang provinces.

According to a report by the Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post, Cao said the United States should suspend its repeated espionage missions with immediate effect to reduce the likelihood of conflict. The U.S. has repeatedly challenged China's sovereignty over the disputed area through its naval and air patrols in the South China Sea. China has claimed its monopoly over the entire South China Sea, while Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei and Taiwan are also claiming these areas. China is facing territorial rights disputes in both the South China Sea and the East China Sea. It has established military bases on several islands and creeks in areas under its control.

Both areas are believed to be rich in minerals, oil and other natural resources and are also very important for global trade. Cao said the risk of conflict could be reduced through better communication between the two countries. In addition, the United States should reconsider its policy towards China. He should stop being considered an enemy.
