Most of the farmers and their unions support the three agricultural laws of the central government, said Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. He told reporters in Bhopal that three new agricultural laws have been implemented for the benefit of farmers.

He was speaking to reporters before leaving for Gudikheda and Pandhana to campaign for the Khandwa Lok Sabha by-election on October 20.

Tomar further said that most farmers and their unions support these laws. However some people have a different opinion. We had earlier spoken to him seriously on this issue and told him that the Central Government would discuss any proposal he would make in the future.

When asked about the shortage of DAP fertilizer, he said there has been some shortage due to imports at higher prices.

He further said that when DAP prices went up last season, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced a subsidy of Rs 1,500 per bag. This time it has been decided to give a subsidy of Rs 150 per bag.
