Modi opens Kushinagar International Airport in election state UP


- Plans to increase Buddhist tourism

Kushinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Kushinagar International Airport in Uttar Pradesh. Kushinagar Airport is the third longest runway airport in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, PM Modi said that today when the world talks about environmental protection, it expresses concern about climate change. Many questions have also arisen with him at that time. But if we adopt the message of the Buddha, the answers will also be found.

PM Modi started his address in Bhojpuri. He laid the foundation stone not only of the airport but also of Kushinagar Medical College. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Minister Swami Prasad Maurya gifted a statue of Gautam Buddha to PM Narendra Modi. Modi said that the development of Kushinagar is one of the priorities of the Uttar Pradesh and Central Governments. Kushinagar is a major tourist destination for Buddhists in Uttar Pradesh. Here Gautama Buddha lived at the last moment.

The Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections are approaching next year. The central government has opened an international airport here in Kushinagar. Several Buddhists arrived at the airport on a Srinakan Airlines flight. About Rs 50 crore has been spent on building this airport. Modi said the airport would increase connectivity and increase the number of tourists, which would also boost the tourism industry. There are currently eight active airports in Uttar Pradesh. Modi said that after Lucknow and Kushinagar, Jawaharlal Nehru International Airport is now operational. Work is also underway at Ayodhya, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Chitrakoot, Moradabad and Saraswati airports.
