The BJP MLA from Tripura even went so far as to say that Mamata is a true leader who follows Maa Mati Manush. The MLA also said that he had done wrong by staying in the BJP.

The MLA, Ashish Das, said that if Mamata Banerjee became the Prime Minister, it would be a source of pride for every Bengali citizen. Ashish Das, who won the SC seat from Dhalai district on a BJP ticket, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had won the hearts of the people in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections by advancing the development model.

However, they have failed to deliver on their promises. At the same time, the MLA claimed that he would start his new political innings, though he did not say whether he would leave the BJP.

At the same time, the MLA said that he had shaved his head to atone for joining a communal party. Currently, many leaders have left the BJP and returned to the TMC.
