Target killings increase in Kashmir, one more non-Muslim victimized

Toiba's commander killed in Pampore among 10 most wanted terrorists, several weapons seized

Srinagar: The killing of non-Muslims is on the rise in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, seven people were killed while two more were killed. A non-Kashmiri Arvind Kumar has been shot dead by terrorists in Srinagar.

Arvind Kumar, a resident of Bihar, was shot dead near a park in Idgah area. Sagir Ahmed from Uttar Pradesh was also killed in Pulwama. The killings come as police claim to have killed three terrorists involved in the killings.

A large-scale search operation was underway by the army in Pampore, during which the army killed three Toiba militants in a shootout. Among those killed were Lashkar-e-Toiba's top commanders Umar Mushtaq and Shahid Khurshid.

Security forces have stepped up operations to eliminate the growing number of target killings. As many as five terrorists have been killed in the last 24 hours. Three terrorists were also wiped out in Pampore.

Mushtaq Khan was one of the top 10 terrorists killed in Pampore. Large quantities of weapons and ammunition were seized from Sruthal after the terrorists were killed.

The terrorists killed two policemen earlier this year. Terrorists who spread fear among the masses and seek to incite violence are being wiped out. Large scale search operations are underway in Rajouri and Poonch and search for terrorists is on.

Several terrorists have been reported hiding in the forests here. Earlier, five militants were killed in an encounter in Poonch, after which the militants fled to Rajouri. Jammu Airbase was attacked by terrorists by drone, in which NSG commandos have now been deployed at Srinagar and Jammu AIF bases.

Both are located near the Pakistan border and have been declared sensitive. Here NSG commandos will provide security by providing counter drone protection. The central government is also holding meetings on Kashmir, with reports of increasing target killings in Kashmir being discussed.

The number of soldiers killed in the Poonch encounter rose to nine, with four more bodies found

Five militants were killed and several others were missing during an encounter in Kashmir's Poonch on Thursday. The bodies of four more soldiers were found during their search. So the total number of soldiers killed in this encounter has reached nine. Among the martyrs was a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO).

The bodies were found during a massive search operation by the army in the forests of Poonch and Rajouri. Currently, it has been reported that the attacking terrorists are hiding in the forests here. So the search has been going on since Thursday. The entire area is cordoned off by the military and a large-scale investigation is underway. The biggest casualty of the army in the current encounter in Kashmir has come in the wake of Thursday's incident. On the other hand, many terrorists have also been called for extermination.
