In Jammu and Kashmir, a militant was shot dead by security forces. Security forces conducted the encounter in Poonch district. A quantity of weapons was also seized from the terrorist.

Weapons including one AK-4, 3 rounds of self-loaded gun, 3 rounds of AK-4 were seized. Jammu and Kashmir police said a search operation was still underway in the entire area.

A police spokesman said the offensive was carried out after a security guard was killed.
