In the end, Amitabh Bachchan left the advertisement of Pan-Masala

Frequent trolls Megastar's decision, also returned advertising money

MUMBAI: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has dropped a pan-spice ad. He also said he would return the money he received for advertising to the company. The 79-year-old actor was trolled for advertising pan-masala, prompting a flurry of users. Most of his fans were offended by the advertisement which was harmful to Amitabh Bachchan's health.

"From now on, Amitabh Bachchan will not be associated with the promotion of Pan Masala," a blog post from Amitabh's office said on Sunday night. Just a few days after this commercial, Big B broke away from this.

The reason Amitabh is said to be doing so is that when he joined the ad, he had no idea that the promotion would be so popular. Little did he know that his fans would be offended by the ad. Mr. Bachchan has broken his contract with the ad.

The company has also been informed about this, as well as asked to return the amount received for the advertisement, it was further shared in the blog. Last month, the National Organization for Tobacco Eradication also urged Amitabh not to run advertisements that could harm his health.
