With a population of 76,000, the city is off-limits to traffic. Indoor public places, including cinemas, internet cafes and gyms, have been shut down following new cases of corona. Five cases of corona were reported in Shangji Province.

Corona's negative test has also been made mandatory to enter the city. Public places such as bars and cinemas have also been closed in the city of Yinshua following reports of corona cases. Russia has also been advised to declare a holiday starting October 30, as new cases of corona and deaths continue to rise in Russia, increasing the burden on the country's healthcare system. Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova said the cabinet would ask President Vladimir Putin to approve the move. The total death toll from the corona in Russia is 2,25,325.

Russia discovered the world's first corona vaccine in August 2020 and named it Sputnik Five, but the Russians have shown no interest in vaccinating. As a result, only 45 million of the country's 146 million people have been vaccinated against corona. Russia has begun negotiations with the European Union to recognize the reciprocal corona vaccine.

In some of Russia's 85 provinces, the corona vaccine has been made mandatory for certain categories of government officials and for people over the age of 60. St. Petersburg, Russia's second-largest city, has begun issuing digital codes to those who have been vaccinated against corona.

This code will have to be shown to go to cinemas, museums and gyms from November 15th. Martin McKee, a professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, said the outbreak of the Corona epidemic in Russia was a matter of concern not only to Russia but to the world. Elsewhere in Europe, vaccination rates will be higher, but this will not stop the virus from entering Russia.
