In Bhimtal too, a building collapsed and a child was killed when debris was crushed under it. In Almora district, three people were crushed when stones fell on a building from a mountain, while a wall of a building collapsed, killing four people, including a young man. Two workers were killed when they were crushed in debris on the Almoda and Halda highways.
On the other hand, 200 tourists and resort staff were rescued after river water infiltrated into a resort in Ramnagar. Nainital's connection with the world was cut off due to rains. In the Ramgarh area of ​​Nainital, it is suspected that several laborers were stranded due to the cloudburst. In addition, the water of Naini Sarovar has turned back on the road and penetrated into many shops and many houses in the vicinity. NDRF teams have been deployed in Uttarakhand to deal with natural calamities. More than 200 people have been rescued and shifted to safer places in Udham Singh Nagar. Nainital received 401 mm of rainfall while Pithoragarh received 311.1 mm and Mukteshwar received 20.4 mm of rainfall. The meteorological department has forecast heavy rains for the next three hours. The army sent two helicopters to rescue people trapped in Nainital and Garhwal area. In addition, waterlogged roads and railway tracks have been eroded in many places. As it has been raining continuously for the last 3 hours in Champawat, there is a danger of landslides in many places. Rains in low-lying areas in the last three days have disrupted normal life in both the states. More rain is expected in the next two days due to the low-pressure system.
