Crops in Kashmir. Increased terrorist infiltration: Major attacks feared

Ladakh, Ta. 3

The infiltration of Pakistani terrorists into Jammu and Kashmir has increased after the Taliban took over Afghanistan. For the first time since the removal of Article 30 from Jammu and Kashmir in 2014, infiltration into Kashmir has increased. According to a media report, most of the terrorists infiltrating Kashmir are associated with the Pakistani terrorist organizations Jaish-e-Mohammed and Toiba.

According to media reports, the terrorists have so far been fighting for the Taliban and the Haqqani network in Afghanistan. According to the report, 20 militants had infiltrated Jammu and Kashmir in July and are still active. The militants are linked to Pakistan's Punjab province and Afghanistan's border tribal areas. Recently, the Indian Army shot dead a militant and arrested a Pakistani militant Ali Babur Para in a clash with some militants infiltrating the Line of Control in the Uri sector.

Pakistan, meanwhile, signed a ceasefire with India earlier this year. However, in the last few days, Pakistan has violated the ceasefire to infiltrate terrorists into Kashmir and Pakistan is reverting to its pre-ceasefire status, said Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Narwan.

Army chief Narwane said a ceasefire agreement was signed between India and Pakistan in February. By almost June, Pakistan had implemented the ceasefire well. But in recent times it has again started firing on Indian borders and the Line of Control in violation of the ceasefire. Pakistan has started violating the ceasefire to help terrorists infiltrate Kashmir. In this regard, Army Chief Narwane also warned Pakistan to stop supporting terrorist activities against India.
