Corona epidemic raises poverty and inequality: IMF

Tourism restrictions were relaxed in the UK and US

Borders will be open to foreign nationals vaccinated in the US from November 8th

WASHINGTON: Traveling in the UK and USA is now becoming easier for foreign nationals taking both doses of the corona vaccine. The White House announced the lifting of travel restrictions for foreign nationals receiving the corona vaccine from November 8. It has now been made easier to enter the USA by land border and by air.

With the U.S. government lifting travel restrictions, vaccinated relatives of U.S. citizens will now be able to visit them. However, the ban on tourists who have not yet been vaccinated against corona remains on the Canadian-Mexican border. Canada began admitting Americans to both corona vaccines on August 9th.

In the UK, on the other hand, tourists from countries other than those listed in the Red List will be able to enter the UK by undergoing a cheap Negative Lateral Flow-LFT test instead of the expensive Polymerase Chain Reaction-PCR test.

The government said the new rules would come into effect from October 24. Tourists from more than 100 countries that are not on the red list, including India, will now be treated the same as returning UK citizens who have been vaccinated.

These tourists will have to take the LFT test from October 24 on the day of the tour or one day before. "We want to make it easier and cheaper to go abroad," said UK Health Minister Sajid Naved.

Russia, on the other hand, still has 999 deaths due to the Corona epidemic. In the last 24 hours, 32,196 new cases of corona were reported. Corona's new cases and deaths have been steadily rising over the past few days. More than 79 million cases of corona have been reported in Russia. While the total corona mortality is 2,21,313.

The top five countries most affected by the Corona epidemic are the US, Brazil, India, Mexico and Russia. Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has announced signs of growth in the global economy. But at the same time, inequality and poverty have increased in the world.

Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaram was also present at the IMF's annual meeting. Sweden's finance minister and chair of the meeting, Magdalena Andersen, said the epidemic had led to an increase in poverty and inequality. He called for international cooperation for universal vaccination.

China, meanwhile, has agreed to join the World Health Organization's new investigation into the origin of the corona virus. Earlier this week, Hu announced a new task force, the Scientific Advisory Group on the Origins of Novel Pathogens-Sago. Hu called this the last chance to find the origin of the corona virus. Evidence of the Corona epidemic is now being destroyed as it has been two years.
