Chinese military exercises increase in Tibet near Arunachal Pradesh

Rupa, Dt
Lt. Gen. Manoj Pandey, commander of the Eastern Army, said on Tuesday that China had stepped up military exercises and troop deployments in its hinterland of Tibet, near the Arunachal Pradesh sector. However, India is ready to respond to any Chinese conspiracy in the Northeast. We have adequate security in every area. India's patrolling pattern has not increased or changed much, with modest increases in some areas. China, meanwhile, has appointed Wang Junzheng as its leader in Tibet's sensitive Himalayan region, which the United States, Britain, the European Union and Canada have banned for allegedly persecuting Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang.
Elaborating on India's overall military modernization, Lt. Gen. Pandey also said that new war strategies called Unified Battle Group (IBP) have been approved in principle, which will always be ready to respond to any attack with a more effective approach. IBG has young men who specialize in different fields. It will work simultaneously with ground forces, tanks, air security and logistics units. IBG will first be deployed on the borders of Pakistan and China.
Lt. Gen. Pandey said both India and China are trying to develop infrastructure near the Line of Actual Control (LAC), which sometimes causes problems. He said the deployment of personnel has increased after the development of new infrastructure. India has also stepped up surveillance on LACs. We have adequate resources in every field to deal with any contingency.
On the violation of various border agreements and protocols by China, Lt. Gen. Pandey indicated that the issue was being discussed at a high level. He said a fourth hotline between the two parties has been activated recently. With tensions rising in eastern Ladakh last year, India has accelerated infrastructure development to cover 2,500 km. Has increased the deployment of personnel on the LAC.
The Indian Army has stepped up day-night surveillance operations on the LAC using Israeli-made Heron drones. Also sent important data to command and control centers. He said that along with the drones, the Indian Army has also deployed advanced light helicopter Rudra here, which further strengthens the strategic missions in the region.
Meanwhile, China has appointed Wang Junzheng as the head of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Tibet Autonomous Region Committee in the sensitive Himalayan region of Tibet, near the border with Arunachal Pradesh. Wang has been banned by the United States, Britain, the European Union and Canada for alleged involvement in human rights abuses against Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang. Wang Junzheng has replaced Wu Yingjei, state news agency Xinhua reported Tuesday. Wang, 6, was banned in March as China's highest-ranking official on charges of human rights abuses during his tenure as the party's deputy secretary and head of security in Xinjiang.
