78 out of 79 MLAs in Punjab wanted Amarinder's departure: Congress

New Delhi: After the resignation of Punjab Congress chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, a war of words has erupted between the Congress and the captain. "I was kept in the dark," said Harish Rawat, Punjab in-charge of the Congress. Now, in a further statement, Congress spokesperson Surjewala said that 78 out of 79 MLAs in Punjab wanted Captain Amarinder's departure.

He said a chief minister loses the confidence of his legislators when he cannot remain chief minister. After Team Channy tried to persuade Navjot Singh Sidhu, Sidhu said he would respect whatever Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka decided. He further said that he believes in the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. All the negative factors tried to defeat me, but they have all been defeated and Punjab and Punjabiyat have won.

Former Punjab state president Sunil Jakhar tweeted and said whether this is the final settlement, all disputes end here. Or this is a temporary ceasefire. With that he pleaded not to over-interpret his tweet. "I am talking about the Line of Actual Control," he said. China has recently infiltrated the area. Thus he has tried to say everything in one sentence in his distinctive style.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab said that there was no political crisis in the state, a political hurricane had come and it was now over. Everything else is as usual. Everything is going on regularly. Congress workers do not need to be in any kind of uncertainty.
