The victim's wife had knocked on the door of the High Court against the judgment of the Hisar Family Court. The High Court had dismissed his case. A bench of Justice Ritu Bohri and Justice Archana Puri on August 27, 2019, rejected the plea of ​​the Hisar woman seeking quashing of the order and upheld the order in which the Family Court accepted her husband's plea and granted her divorce. The victim's husband said his wife's mood is hot and she spends unnecessarily.

Rejecting her husband's allegations, the wife argued that she always carried out her marital obligations with love and respect. She also claimed that six months after the marriage, her husband and her family members harassed her for dowry.

During the hearing of the case, the High Court said that the woman had left her husband in 2016 and also left her daughter in-laws. He never tried to meet her. The court also found that the husband's family had never asked for dowry and had spent the money itself for the woman's higher education after marriage.

The High Court found that the woman had lodged a false complaint against her husband and his family. The High Court thus dismissed the woman's application and upheld the judgment of the Hisar court. The couple got married in 2012 and her husband works in a bank. The wife is a teacher in a private school in Hisar. The couple's daughter lives with the father.
