Ordered to pay dues to 1500 people including Dhoni in Amrapali within 15 days

(PTI) New delhi date. 10

A Supreme Court-appointed receiver has ordered 1,500 customers, including former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, to pay their dues within 15 days after buying a house in the Amrapali housing project in Noida.

However, if the buyers do not pay the balance within 15 days and fail to register their name in the customer data maintained by the court receiver, the flats booked by them will be automatically canceled.

Dhoni has not yet commented on the matter. It may be mentioned that in April 2016, Dhoni resigned as Amrapali's brand ambassador. Notably Amrapali is currently a defaulter.

The Amrapali Stalled Projects Investment Reconstruction Establishment (ASPIRE) was formed to complete the unfinished projects of Amrapali.

State-owned NBCC has been ordered to complete 20 unfinished projects in Amrapali. This will require an investment of Rs 5,000 crore. After the Supreme Court took over the Amrapali project, the court has ordered to pay the remaining amount to those who booked houses in the project.

According to the notice issued by the receiver of the Supreme Court, Dhoni had booked two flats in Sapphire Phase-1, C-Pinch and C-Pich.
