Modi dedicated 35 new varieties of crops to the country's farmers


PM Modi calls for immediate action to tackle the dangerous effects of climate change

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today gifted a cobbler to the country's agricultural world. He dedicated 35 new varieties of different crops to ten scavengers. The Prime Minister also inaugurated the new campus of the National Institute of Biotic Stress Management at Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Prime Minister Modi participated in the event through video conferencing, besides addressing the farmers of the country on the occasion. On the occasion, Modi also called for immediate action to address the dangerous effects of climate change.

Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said that agriculture is our ancient tradition but at the same time March to the future is just as important. When we talk about the future, modern technology is at its root and this technology is the new tool of agriculture.

"We have drastically improved the procurement process by increasing the MSPs of various crops for the farmers so that more and more farmers can benefit from it," the Prime Minister said. He said the government had procured 430 lakh metric tonnes of wheat from scavengers during the Ravi season.

The Prime Minister had dedicated 35 new varieties of chickpeas to the farmers of the country. Apart from that, Modi also dedicated a new variety of rice to boost immunity.

In addition to rice and chickpeas, the Prime Minister also dedicated new varieties of coarse grains like millets and maize to the country's farmers. On this occasion, the Prime Minister also expressed deep concern over the problem of climate change and said that the problem of climate change is affecting agriculture badly.

But at the same time, it has a detrimental effect on the environment as a whole. The Prime Minister called for immediate action to tackle the problem of climate change. Elaborating on the issue, the Prime Minister said that climate change has led to new pesticides, new diseases and epidemics.

All these problems have serious effects on human and animal health and also have a negative impact on various crops. Climate change also affects the fishing industry, causing huge economic losses to both farmers and fishermen.
