Srinagar: North Kashmir has witnessed the largest terror infiltration in the last eight years. In Baramulla sector, about 10 terrorists infiltrated from across the border. However, no information was given by the military about the number of terrorists. While in Uri sector, mobile and internet services were also suspended on Tuesday. The military, on the other hand, continued its search operation the next day.

A team of para commandos is also involved in the investigation. The administration has shut down internet services in various parts of Baramulla and Uri due to vigilance. The move is prone to thwart intruder plots and attacks. One such attack was foiled from Srinagar airport. Also, a large number of IEDs were seized.

The IED was found by security forces while investigating in Humhama area near Airport Road in Budgam district in central Kashmir on Tuesday morning, police said. The seized IED weighed 6 kilograms and was used to carry out large explosions in the area around the airport.

The IED was deactivated and the surrounding area was evacuated. Two government school teachers have been arrested in connection with a terror attack on a police party in Jammu and Kashmir.

The army, on the other hand, has been alerted following reports of 10 terrorists infiltrating the border. And a large-scale investigation is underway. Bombs have been found not only from airports but also from headquarters, technical airports, etc., following which a large-scale search operation is being carried out by alerting the entire area.
