Puneet Singh Chandhok, chairman of the Indian World Forum, said the Taliban had abducted an Indian businessman of Afghan origin in Kabul at gunpoint. His name is Bansarilal Arendhehi. Bansarilal belongs to the Sikh community.

Bansari, 50, owns a drug store in Kabul, he said. The Taliban abducted him from the shop around 8:00 a.m. Tuesday. The Taliban also kidnapped their staff along with the flute. However those people somehow managed to escape from their clutches. The Taliban beat the staff very badly.

Puneet Singh said Bansari's family lives in Delhi-NCR. Local investigative agencies have registered a case of his abduction and are searching for him. He further said that the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has been informed about this and the government has been asked to intervene and cooperate in this matter immediately.
