A case has been registered in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division on Tuesday seeking removal of illegal tombs from one of the Ashtabhairav ​​temples in Varanasi. The case will be heard on October 21. In this regard, 2 cases related to Kashi Vishwanath temple will be registered on the basis of miscellaneous and will be heard on September 16.

There was a temple in the Gyanvapi complex and the mosque has been the subject of controversy for decades. The case has been pending in court since 1991. In this case, on April 8, 2021, the Civil Judge Senior Division Fast Track Court ordered an ASI survey. The High Court on September 9 stayed the lower court's decision and stayed any hearing on the issue.

So far, a total of 8 cases have been filed in the Varanasi court. The Lat Bhairav ​​temple case has demanded the removal of illegal graves from the temple. Sitendra Chaudhary of the Dom family of Varanasi is the main plaintiff in the Nandi case, one of the two cases involving the Kashi Vishwanath temple. He has demanded that the ancient Shivling of Adi Vishweshwar be worshiped inside the disputed structure.
