ED raids in Kolkata over black market of coro-related items

The ED is also investigating the fake vaccine racket

Kolkata: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided 10 places in Kolkata in connection with the black market of essential items associated with Kovid, agency sources said in a statement.

According to sources, the Central Agency has registered six cases against those involved in the racket of selling essential drugs at high prices, including Ramdasevir injections. We have raided the premises of people who stockpiled high-demand drugs during the second wave of Corona.

Our team raided ten places in Kolkata. According to the ED, it is also investigating a fake vaccine racket run by Debanjan Deb and his associates. He cheated innocent people and endangered the lives of many by giving fake vaccines. Deb was arrested by Kolkata police in June.

Calling himself an IAS officer, he organized a Covid-19 vaccination camp in the city. Trinamool Congress MP Mimi Chakraborty was vaccinated at the camp. However, after receiving the vaccine, he did not receive the SMS of the vaccination certificate and was exposed for bogus vaccination.
