- Every death from corona cannot be considered as negligent death: Supreme Court rejects corona victims' demand for help

New Delhi: At present, one has to go to a designated center to get vaccinated against the corona virus. There was a petition in the Supreme Court seeking an order directing the central government to go door-to-door and vaccinate those in need. The apex court refused to accept the demand, saying the vaccination was going well.

The Supreme Court said that the situation of our country is different from other countries. Here the rural and urban conditions are different. The situation in Kashmir is different from that in West Bengal. It is not possible to go home and get vaccinated in this situation. The apex court also said that there was no need to issue such an order as vaccination was currently going in the right direction.

The petition was filed in the Supreme Court by the Youth Bar Association, an association of lawyers. In which it was demanded that people who are crippled or belong to the weaker class. They are having trouble getting to the center to get vaccinated. If they get the vaccine at home, their problem can be overcome. The Supreme Court said that you are seeking an order to go door-to-door across the country to vaccinate, while at present 90 per cent of the population has been vaccinated. And vaccination is going in the right direction. So no such order can be given.

Another petition was filed in the Supreme Court seeking that the death caused by the corona be treated as a negligent death and that the government be ordered to provide assistance to the families of all the corona victims. However, the apex court said that not every death caused by corona could be treated as negligence. The second wave of Corona has had a lot of impact but your demand is not acceptable. The Supreme Court did not allow this second petition either.
