China deploys 30,000 troops, drones on LAC in Ladakh

Beijing / New Delhi, Dt

China has begun to show its true colors just days after the first private meeting of quad group presidents and prime ministers in the United States to curb China's growing grandeur in the Indo-Pacific region. Despite an agreement between India and China to withdraw its troops from the LAC in eastern Ladakh, instead of withdrawing its troops, China has deployed more than 20,000 troops on the LAC and is using a large number of drones to monitor the activities of Indian troops.

According to official sources, the Chinese military has been monitoring the activities of Indian troops with drones mostly in Dolat Bagh Old Sector, Gogra Heights and some other places. In addition, it has deployed 30,000 troops on the LAC in eastern Ladakh. The Indian military is also keeping a close eye on all these activities of China. The Indian Army is also very cautious against China.

India is using its assets to monitor Chinese drones, sources said. Indian drones stationed in the clear skies of Ladakh and on high peaks are keeping an eye on Chinese drones. In addition, India is also planning to deploy drones on a large scale here. For this, India will soon deploy new Israeli and Indian drones on the LAC. These drones have been procured by defense forces using emergency financial power to meet China’s challenges on the border. Referring to the situation on the LAC, the sources said that the issue of friction points between the armies of the two countries now needs to be resolved.

The sources added that the US has formed a quad group with India to reduce China's dominance in the Indo-Pacific region. The four-nation group also includes Japan and Australia. The first individual meeting of the top leaders of the quad group was held at the White House on Friday. However, even China will not remain silent. China is transforming its temporary structure into a permanent structure for its troops. The Chinese have set up military bases near Tibetan villages in areas near the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh. It is noteworthy that the camp was built by the Chinese military in the form of concrete buildings. These actions by China show its real intentions. China wants to maintain the deployment of its troops on the LAC for a long time.

India, meanwhile, has repeatedly told China not to change its stance on the LAC and not to complicate the border issue. In the wake of last year's tensions between the two countries in eastern Ladakh, India has been pushing China to stick to its border by using different mechanisms to resolve its border demarcation issue.
