Charanjit Singh sworn in as Chief Minister of Punjab: Internal conflict in Congress remains

Charanjit Singh Channy was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Punjab. After being sworn in as the first Dalit chief minister of the state, he waived the water and electricity bills of farmers. "I am thankful to the Congress for making the poor the chief minister," Charanjit said.
After Charanjit Singh was sworn in, he appealed to the central government to withdraw the agriculture law. "I will cut my throat and give it to the farmers if there is a fire," he said. Don't let injustice happen to farmers. He thanked the Congress leaders and also thanked former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh. The new Punjab Chief Minister said that he was grateful to the Congress for making a poor Chief Minister. I had no intention of becoming the Chief Minister.
Appealing for the repeal of the Agriculture Act in respect of farmers, Charanjit added that farmers are very important in the development of the country. If the farmer drowns, the whole country will drown. All round development of farmers is essential.
Sukhwinder Singh Randhawa and OP Soni were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers. The Congress thus made efforts to save both the Captain and Sidhu group. In this way, by giving important positions to Dalits, Hindus and Sikhs, the Congress has created new racist equations before the elections.
In Punjab, the Congress has changed the Chief Minister. However, there is still controversy in the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. The controversy erupted when Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat issued a statement. Rawat said the next assembly elections would be fought under the leadership of Navjot Singh Sidhu. After that statement, Congress had to control the damage. Senior Punjab Congress leader and former president Sunil Jakhar has taken to Twitter to express his displeasure. He wrote that he was surprised by such statements by Harish Rawat, the Congress in-charge of Punjab, that the next assembly elections would be fought under the leadership of Navjot Sidhu.
Harish Rawat said this at a time when Charanjit Singh was going to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Punjab. According to observers, such statements by Harish Rawat could weaken the influence of the new Chief Minister Channy.
In this regard, Sunil Jakhar said in a tweet that Harish Rawat's statement came as a surprise when Charanjit Singh Channi was going to take oath as the Chief Minister. So the rights of the new chief minister may be weakened.
