A Pakistani court has issued an arrest warrant against Pakistani actress Saba Kamar. The warrant was issued for allegedly shooting a dance video at a historic mosque in Lahore. Saba Kamar and singer Bilal Saeed were not present at the court hearing and the Lahore magistrate's court issued a bail warrant. The court has now adjourned the hearing till October 6.

What is the case?

Lahore police had last year registered a case against Saba Kamar and Bilal Saeed under Section 295 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Saba and Bilal are accused of allegedly desecrating Lahore's Masjid Wazir Khan by shooting dance videos. According to the FIR, the two actors shot a dance video in the mosque which caused a huge controversy. The Punjab government had also sacked two senior officers for allegedly violating the sanctity of the mosque.

Saba's explanation

Saba Kamar and Bilal Saeed apologized for it after the controversy erupted. Saba clarified that it was a music video with a marriage scene. No playback music was used during its shooting. No. It was edited into a music track.
