India and Israel have had significant success in increasing their power in the defense sector. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh added the first unit of the Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) to the Air Force unit at Jaisalmer. This missile is capable of stacking the enemy at a radius of 70 km. The system also has an interceptor with advanced radar, command and control, mobile launcher and radio frequency seeker. The missile was jointly developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Israel's IAI. It also includes other defense companies from India and Israel. MRSAM will be used by all three Indian armies and the Israel Defense Force.

"With the handing over of MRSAM to the Air Force, we have taken a big leap towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a self-reliant India," said Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. This air defense system will be a game changer. '

Rajnath Singh said, “Today the global scenario is changing very fast and unexpectedly. The mutual equations of the countries are also changing rapidly according to their own interests. Whether it is the South China Sea or the Indo-Pacific or Central Asia, a state of uncertainty can be seen everywhere. The impact of changing geo-politics can also be seen on trade, economy, power politics and the security scenario based on it. In such a situation, strengthening our security and self-reliance is not an achievement but a necessity.

The MRSAM system can destroy any incoming fighter plane, helicopter, UAV, sub sonic and supersonic cruise missile. The missile is capable of destroying multiple targets within a radius of 70 km. The missile is powered by a rocket motor based on indigenous technology.
