New Delhi: The Taliban has threatened the United States with a stern response if it does not withdraw its troops by August 31 and evacuate Afghanistan. In the wake of the threat, US President Joe Biden has now said that by the 21st, we can withdraw all troops from Afghanistan, but the Taliban must stay upright. The Taliban, on the other hand, has issued a decree ordering women to stay indoors.

The Taliban had earlier said it would give women more leeway, although it has now issued an edict ordering women to stay indoors, with Taliban spokesman Hulla also saying women should not leave their homes if they want to save their lives. Another Taliban spokesman made the bizarre argument that "we have not taught Taliban fighters to respect women so they can treat women badly so we ask women to stay at home, we will make working women pay their salaries at home."

It is noteworthy that at present about 200 US passengers are at Kabul airport in Afghanistan. "We have until August 31 to withdraw our troops, but we will depend on the cooperation of the Taliban," Biden said. He said another threat was that IS was now active in Afghanistan and could strike airports at any time and target American civilians as well as the military. Incidents of firing have also come to the fore.

On the other hand, the Indian government has issued a statement on Afghan nationals saying that every Afghan citizen has to use the e-visa system if he wants to come to India. The government has recently announced the category of e-emergency ex-miss visa for citizens of Afghanistan. Recently, 12 people from Afghanistan who came to India have reported positive corona, following which they have been quarantined. Meanwhile, the Taliban has begun holding meetings with countries that support it. China backed the Taliban and now a meeting with the Taliban has also taken place in Kabul. "Our first meeting with the Taliban was held in Kabul," China said in a statement.

Britain, meanwhile, has warned the Taliban that sealing Afghanistan's borders and isolating the country from the rest of the world could have serious consequences. He also appealed that if Afghanistan's borders are not kept open, there could be a refugee crisis. Currently, the Taliban have until August 31 to evacuate people from Afghanistan. As a result, the plight of the citizens of any country trapped in Afghanistan may increase.
